Autodesk Revit MEP

By the end of the Revit MEP Training Course, learners will be able to:

• Understand Workflow and BIM Concepts: Initiate Revit MEP projects, manage architectural links, monitor elements, and apply coordination settings for seamless collaboration.
• Create and Manage Views: Set up levels, duplicate views, add callouts, and control view ranges and graphic overrides to produce clear project documentation.
• Develop Elevations and Sections: Generate and modify elevations and sections while applying MEP system principles to architectural models.
• Work with Components and Families: Load, edit, and categorize family types, create custom MEP families, and integrate them into projects for specialized design needs.
• Design Electrical Systems: Configure electrical settings, demand factors, voltage definitions, and distribution systems; model cable trays, conduits, and fire alarm devices with accurate parameters.
• Plan Power Systems: Place fixtures, create and name circuits, manage wiring, design lighting and switch systems, and generate panel schedules with professional annotation.
• Integrate Electrical Circuits: Build and test electrical layouts, import CAD/architectural files, and coordinate electrical systems across disciplines.
• Apply Wiring and Cable Techniques: Design conductors, wires, switches, sockets, alarms, and security devices; create and modify power and lighting circuits with precise MEP settings.
• Work with Schedules and Documentation: Create, modify, import, and export schedules; prepare component schedules, material take‑offs, and cost estimations for project delivery.
• Produce Detailed Drafting Views: Connect callouts, create detail lines and components, annotate details, and apply symbols for professional documentation.
• Render and Visualize Projects: Configure rendering settings, apply sunlight and lighting effects, create walkthroughs, and produce realistic visualizations of MEP systems.
• Document Projects Professionally: Generate layouts, manage family libraries, and prepare final documentation suitable for client submission.
• Execute Real‑World Projects:
  • Residential Electrical Plan: Create 2D and 3D layouts with annotations and final outputs.
  • Commercial Electrical Plan: Design complex electrical systems for commercial projects with professional documentation.
  • 3D Models from 2D Layouts: Translate 2D drawings into accurate 3D models.
  • Final Project: Independently design and document a complete electrical plan, applying all acquired skills.
